Jersey 2019 DXpedition

In 2014 we spent a beautiful week on the Jersey island being on air 24 hours a day. Almost five years later, in 2019, we want to go to the same place to enjoy the DXperience again.

The main DXpedition focus will be on HF operations, but this time we want to do more. We would like to activate the single SOTA summit on the island, the GJ/JE-001, we want to operate in the 6m band, try some WSPR and much more.

Updates

22nd July 2019 We are on air 80m to 6m, SSB, CW and FT8, using two Spiderbeam antennas, verticals for 30m and 80m, and dipoles for 40m and 80m.Jersey 2019 On-Air

30th June 2019 Our latest meeting was at Blatenský vrch, where we finished the planning and now we are only looking forward to finally going on the Jersey in three weeks!Jersey 2019 Team photo

21st March 2019 We have met in Pilsen to discuss all key topics. Antennas, transceivers, interfaces, IT equipment and others. Two Spiderbeams will be forming the core of our HF setup, complemented with some simpler wire antennas for the lower bands. On the transceiver side, we will be taking Icom IC-756 PRO III, Yaesu FT-1000MP Mark V and Kenwood TS-480HX.

23rd September 2018 I have put up this somewhat minimalistic web page for the DXpedition.

20th September 2018 It is now official, we are going to the Jersey Island! Our place is booked! On the island we will be staying at the same place like in 2014 near St. Brélade. The schedule is the same as well, we will be on air over the entire week and then on the weekend we will participate in the RSGB IOTA Contest.

Callsigns

During the DX operations we will be using our personal callsigns, be it the native Jersey callsign or the CEPT variant of home callsign. The team callsign will only be used during the RSGB IOTA Contest.
